Qualifications

  • To be a NZ Registered AT or a Registered Nurse with a recognized Anaesthetic qualification.
  • Extensive experience preferred but open to new candidates.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude required.

Job description

Southern Cross Auckland Surgical Centre

Anaesthetic Technician or RNAA

Southern Cross Auckland Surgical Centre is a well-equipped private surgical hospital based in Remuera, providing quality, professional care since it opened in 1987. It was New Zealand’s first purpose-built short stay surgical hospital.

Today, the Centre features four operating theatres, stage one recovery facilities, day-stay recovery areas, and a 17-bed overnight stay facility. The Centre is designed to enhance short stay and inpatient healthcare services based on a 'centre of expertise' philosophy. It provides support for credentialled practitioners from our high-performance surgical nursing teams.

The Centre employs a caring, experienced staff providing services and excellent post-operative care across a range of surgical specialties, including General Surgery, Orthopaedic surgery, Paediatric Surgery and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.

Join our theatre team as an Anaesthetic Technician or RNAA. We're seeking someone to complement our skilled team as our workloads continue to grow. If you bring a positive attitude and a strong work ethic, you'll thrive in our collaborative environment. While you must be qualified in this field, we value the right attitude and commitment above all, so although extensive experience is preferred, we are also prepared to develop those new to the industry. This is a full-time role working 1.0 FTE.
