Overview

Based in central Wellington, this role suits an energetic Anaesthetic Technician (AT) or Registered Nurse Anaesthetic Assistant (RNAA). With no two days being the same, you can enjoy a considerable variety of procedures. As the demand for surgical services increases, you will gain more exposure across specialised surgical fields. Be part of a friendly team where you can grow and develop, or be a role model for others showcasing your exceptional skills.

Skills & Experience
  • Be registered as an NZ AT by the NZMSC or RNAA and hold a current APC
  • Current Anaesthetic Technology knowledge and skills
  • Have experience in all surgical specialties in a theatre environment
  • Good communication skills and customer service practices
  • Able to work under direction and independently with pace
Duties
  • Provide skilled anaesthetic assistance with all facets of anaesthesia, wherever anaesthesia or sedation is performed.
  • Preparation of appropriate anaesthetic equipment for the procedure being performed, e.g. IV lines, regional anaesthesia, invasive monitoring, warming devices, infusions, etc.
  • Use good time management skills to provide for timely management of theatre resources.
  • Develop specialised techniques.
