Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Southern invites applications for Anaesthetic Technicians in Invercargill, Southland. Roles can be full-time or part-time (1.0 - 0.8 FTE) with a state-of-the-art facility and generous salary.

You will work with anaesthetists, doctors and nurses, assisting with surgeries, theatre setup, and occasionally blood pressure meds. Rotating rosters and a broad catchment provide diverse experience.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Medical Sciences Council of NZ
• Able to work a rotating roster and in a high-volume surgical setting

• Assist with blood pressure monitoring and medication administration as needed
• Rotate across shifts on a rotating roster with 8–10 hour blocks

Anaesthetic Technician Salary range $79,014 - $112,965 p.a. The day to day down here

• Working alongside our Anaesthetists, as well as Doctors and Nurses, you'll assist with surgeries, and the odd bit of Operating Theatre set up.
• You may even help administer blood pressure and other medications on occasion too.
• Working on a rotating roster basis, you'll find shifts are usually around 8-10 hours,
• So along with a stable full-time work structure you'll have plenty of room to get out and do life - especially since that beaming Southland sun has been known to stick around as late as 10pm!
• Servicing a broad catchment area of the South Island, Invercargill hospital will give you great exposure to a large amount of trauma cases, plus the ability to rotate across a wide variety of specialities within the hospital.
• In a smaller hospital you'll find plenty of opportunity to grow your skills and progress your career.
• Benefit from the wisdom of senior AT's or impart your own knowledge to help mentor the younger team, and if you're motivated to lead, you could move up, fast.Plus, you'll enjoy the latest, state of the art equipment and modern hospital facilities.

Salary Range

This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the APEX or PSA CEAs and the salary will be in accordance with the AT Pay Scale, between $79,014 and $112,965 p.a dependant on relevant experience.
