A leading educational institution in Auckland seeks a part-time mental health clinician to support students facing alcohol and drug issues. Responsibilities include clinical assessments, treatment interventions, and collaboration with university services. The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications, experience in AOD interventions, and strong relationship-building skills. This is a varied and dynamic role, providing clinical assessment and treatment interventions for students experiencing mild to moderate alcohol and/or drug (AOD) concerns. The position involves working both independently and in collaboration with internal and external services to ensure comprehensive support for students.
In addition, the role supports the Mental Health team by responding to walk-in presentations of distress as part of the Active Response Team. You will also work closely with the Counselling Service to facilitate AOD referrals, making this an exciting opportunity to contribute across multiple areas of student wellbeing.
The role is a part-time (0.8FTE), (30 hours per week) fixed-term role for 11 months. The salary range for this role is $83,330 - $102,900 per annum, prorated depending on experience and qualifications.
