Job summary

Natural Hazards Commission Toka Tū Ake (NHC) seeks a Senior AI Process Analyst to join the Analytics and Insights team in a fixed-term capacity. The role focuses on redesigning processes with AI and automation, delivering practical future-state processes, and enabling the organisation to extract value from AI safely and effectively.

You will work with business teams to understand current ways of working, identify friction, and co-design outcomes that specify roles for people, AI and automation.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline as stated.
• Experience applying AI, agents or automation to process redesign is highly valued.
• Proven ability to improve complex processes in business, digital, or technical delivery environments.
• Interest in AI or automation with practical experience is an advantage.
• Experience designing practical new ways of working with others.
• Strong facilitation, communication skills and problem‑solving ability.
• A collaborative, pragmatic approach with confidence to challenge current thinking constructively.

Responsibilities

• Apply a process and service design lens to our AI team to rethink work flows rather than just adding technology.
• Hands-on design and delivery role; collaborate with business teams to map current ways of working, identify friction, and co-design practical future-state processes with clear roles for people, AI and automation.
• Turn complex processes into clear, actionable solutions and deliver tangible improvements.
• Contribute to a fast-moving environment with decisions made quickly to realise value.
