Job summary

Fusion5 is seeking an experienced AI Knowledge Engineer to shape the knowledge foundations behind intelligent AI agents used in real production environments. You will turn complex business knowledge into structured, trusted context for AI agents.

You’ll design ontologies, knowledge graphs and semantic models, establish source mappings and governance, and ensure production-ready agent context. Collaboration with domain experts and engineers is essential to establish standards and reusable

Qualifications

Hands-on experience designing ontologies, knowledge graphs and semantic models in complex enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of entity identity, relationships, source mappings, model validation and versioning.
Practical experience with graph or semantic query languages such as Cypher, SPARQL or GQL.
Experience with data governance, including cataloguing, lineage, classification, access control and privacy.
Knowledge of platforms such as Neo4j, Fabric IQ, Databricks Genie Ontology, Unity Catalog, Purview, Collibra, Alation or Atlan would be valuable.
Understanding of how LLM agents use context, grounding and retrieval, including handling missing or conflicting information.
Ability to translate domain knowledge into practical, implementable models and lead technical delivery.

Responsibilities

Design ontologies, knowledge graphs and semantic models, establish source mappings and governance, connect structured and unstructured knowledge.
Help establish modelling standards and reusable knowledge patterns across the practice.
