Job summary

Xero is seeking an Engineering Manager to own the team roadmap and strategy, guiding architecture decisions and AI-driven improvements. You will lead cross-functional collaboration with Product and Design, champion fast, decentralised decision-making, and foster an inclusive engineering culture across our NZ and Australian offices.

The role supports a hybrid work model with opportunities to work from Wellington, Auckland, Melbourne or Sydney as part of a globally coordinated team.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of owning and delivering software roadmaps end-to-end in agile environments.
• Deep experience in software architecture and system design; ability to lead technical trade-offs.
