Job summary

Southland Asset Management in Te Anau, South Island seeks an AI Audio & Media Producer to create high-quality audio content and AI-assisted media. Audio is primary; video is a secondary component, with opportunities to work across generative AI and digital media.

Ideal candidates have a diploma or 3+ years in audio/music production or related fields, strong editing skills, and experience with Adobe Audition, Logic Pro, and Premiere Pro.

Qualifications

• Diploma or minimum 3-years work experience in audio, music production, sound, media, film, digital screen or a related field.
• Good understanding of audio recording and editing.
• Strong ear for sound quality.
• Creative and technically curious.
• Experience with podcast production, spoken-word recording or other voice-based audio content (highly desirable).
• Experience with professional audio software such as Adobe Audition, Logic Pro or similar (highly desirable).
• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or similar video-editing software (highly desirable).
• Experience with generative AI tools for music, audio, voice and video, such as Runway, ElevenLabs, Suno, Udio or similar (highly desirable).
• Experience with cameras and basic video production (highly desirable).
• International audience and Chinese-language market exposure

Southland Asset Management is a media development & hospitality management company operating in the scenic Fiordland region. As part of our commercial strategy, we are developing an online wellness platform featuring AI-assisted audio and visual content.

We are seeking a creative and technically capable AI Audio & Media Producer to assist us in creating dynamic, engaging and educational digital media. Audio is the primary focus of this role, with video content as an important secondary component.

We are particularly interested in candidates with backgrounds in audio production, music production, audio engineering, creative music technology, screen sound, digital screen, film or media production.

Recent graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply. Bilingual Mandarin/English language capability is highly desirable.

Job Description:

As an AI Audio & Media Producer, you will work across professional audio production, AI music, sound design, generative AI and video, with the goal of helping build a high-quality library of digital content.

This is a unique opportunity for applicants interested in new and emerging technologies and looking for genuine project responsibility rather than an entry-level production role.

Duties & Responsibilities
