Join us to support the next generation of farming excellence in the role of Reproduction Solutions Advisor!

About the Role:

As a Reproduction Solutions Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting dairy farmers to achieve herd reproductive success through tailored breeding advice, herd analysis, and the delivery of reproductive solutions. This is a hands-on, client-facing position, where you will assist farmers to make informed decisions for maximising herd fertility and genetic progress. You will work within a supportive team, collaborate with our renowned Artificial Breeding (AB) Animal Health and Herd Testing teams, and be part of a network striving for continued improvement of the New Zealand dairy sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-farm consultation and advice on reproductive management, herd fertility, and genetic solutions for dairy clients
  • Analyse herd reproductive performance and present findings using LIC’s industry-leading software and technology
  • Deliver breeding strategies and herd improvement plans tailored for each farm business
  • Support the delivery and promotion of LIC Artificial Breeding programmes and reproductive services
  • Build strong relationships with farmers and support them throughout the breeding season
  • Collaborate with AB technicians, laboratory, and field teams to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded
  • Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to clients and LIC teams
  • Stay up to date with new industry regulations, technologies, and reproductive science developments
Ideal Skills & Experience:
  • Relevant experience in dairy farming, animal science, or agri-consultancy strongly preferred
  • Tertiary qualification in agriculture, animal science, or a related field is advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with a diverse range of clients
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for interpreting herd data and delivering recommendations
  • Comfortable using agricultural software, digital tools, smartphones and tablets
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work both independently and within a wider team
  • Full, clean driver's licence and the right to work in New Zealand
  • This role may suit a Vet or Breeding Scientist wanting to progress their career into the commercial space. It could be a great stepping stone to a more senior Agri Manager role.
Work Environment & Opportunities at LIC:
  • Be part of a forward-thinking, purpose-driven cooperative at the forefront of agri-tech and herd improvement
  • Work with experienced teams and access ongoing professional development and training
  • Enjoy a role where you make a tangible difference to New Zealand farming communities and the dairy industry
  • Competitive salary package and a suite of employee benefits
  • Variety in your day, with a mix of on-farm visits, client meetings, and team collaboration
