A family-owned global company based in Palmerston North is seeking an Automotive Aftermarket Sales Rep to join their Sales team. You will focus on building long-term customer relationships and maximizing service sales while pursuing new sales opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and experience in field sales. The role: As an Automotive Aftermarket Sales Rep, join our Sales team in the Lower North Island. You’ll be supported by an experienced team to succeed, providing high levels of customer support to our existing loyal customer base and driving retention and growth through the Aftermarket Sales function. Based in Palmerston North and traveling to customers throughout the Lower North Island, you’ll build long‑term relationships with existing customers, maximise aftermarket service sales, pursue leads, cold call, and proactively seek additional sales opportunities in a highly competitive market. There is flexibility in the role and you will work closely with our operations teams around the region.

To shine in this role, you should bring an energetic and enthusiastic attitude with a strong customer‑centric and solutions‑focused approach and excellent communication skills. Preferably you have proven success in field sales, strong organisational and planning abilities, and solid influencing and negotiation skills. Being computer savvy and able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders is important. A positive can‑do attitude, cheerful personality, team spirit, and exceptional customer service/relationship skills are essential. An automotive or trade‑related background is advantageous but not essential. If you have the right attitude and are eager to learn and grow, we can teach the rest.
You'll have a current full NZ driver’s licence and be legally entitled to live and work in New Zealand. A full pre‑employment medical, including a drug test, is required.
