Job summary

Rocket Lab in Auckland is seeking a Development Engineering Intern to join the Neutron Upper Module team. You will help develop Acceptance Test Processes for actuators and improve traceability of Upper Module components.

You'll work on real space technology projects, supporting prototype development with hands-on manufacturing and collaboration across engineering groups. This internship offers mentorship and exposure to cutting-edge rocket systems.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of BE(Mech/Mechatronics/Aerospace).
• Experience CAD design and basic hand calculations.
• Hands-on manufacturing skills including metal machining and soldering.
• Knowledge of harnessing and electrical signals is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing mechanisms for Neutron Upper Module.
• Produce Test Plans and Test Reports for components.
• Document manufacturing plans for Neutron Launch Vehicle parts.
• Collaborate with engineers across departments.
• Contribute ideas and hands-on support to prototypes.
