The Ministry of Health – Manatū Hauora is seeking an Advisor in the Determinants of Health team to provide high-quality advice, research and analysis across public health and mental health policy. You’ll work with stakeholders to develop and deliver policies, programmes and initiatives that support equitable health outcomes for New Zealanders.

You’ll research complex issues, prepare briefings and recommendations, and contribute to projects that improve health system performance.

• Midpoint of $82,061.00 dependent on experience

What you’ll do - Ko tōu ake mahi

The Determinants of Health team sits within the Public Health Agency and Mental Health Group, supporting the Ministry’s work across public health and mental health. As an Advisor, you’ll contribute to a varied programme of work, providing high-quality advice, research and analysis to support policy and decision-making. You’ll work collaboratively across the Ministry and with stakeholders, helping develop and deliver policies, programmes and initiatives that support equitable health outcomes for New Zealanders.

• Provide high-quality advice, briefings, reports, and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
• Research and analyse complex issues, identifying risks, opportunities, and practical solutions.
• Support the delivery of projects, policies, programmes, and initiatives to achieve agreed outcomes.
