We are seeking an experienced Administration Support/Typist to join our Older Adult Mental Health Service based at Palmerston North Hospital. This is a permanent part-time role working 0.45 FTE, 18 hours per week.
In this role, you will provide effective, efficient and high-quality administration and typing support to the Older Adult Mental Health team. You will be responsible for a range of duties including transcription of clinical dictation, preparing letters, assessments and discharge summaries, data entry, managing referrals, maintaining clinical records, monitoring shared inboxes, and supporting general office administration.
You will work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team and play an important role in ensuring clinical documentation and administrative processes are completed accurately and within required timeframes. Your strong organisational skills, attention to detail and customer-focused approach will support the delivery of quality care to older people, their whānau, clinicians and the wider service.
As an Administration Support/Typist, you will bring excellent communication skills, strong administration experience and the ability to work effectively in a busy healthcare environment.
