About The Role

We are currently seeking highly experienced administrators to join the Emergency Department at Tauranga Hospital. We have two positions available. Each position is 24 hours per week on a 24/7 roster which can include weekends, public holidays and night shifts.
The Emergency Department is the gateway into the hospital and usually the start of a patients experiences in the hospital. The successful applicant will be responsible for the provision of high quality, accurate administration and customer service support to patients, families, health professionals and all other external and internal customers. The Emergency Department administrators are an integral part of our clinical team supporting the service to achieve best practice acute care standards, quality care and performance outcomes.
About the Location
Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is spread across a vast geographical area and centred across two hospitals based in Tauranga and Whakatāne. We serve a population of approximately 308,000 for the major population centres of Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatāne, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki. Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is one of the Bay of Plenty’s largest employers with over 4500 staff.
