An exciting leadership role has become available at New Plymouth Girls’ High School for 2026. We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable teacher to step into the Acting Head of Department – English role to cover refreshment leave.

This position provides an opportunity to develop your leadership capability while supporting and extending the successful initiatives already established within our large and collegial English department.

We are also advertising a permanent role for a teacher of English, and these two positions could be combined for the right applicant.

Applicants must hold current NZ teacher registration, be eligible to work in New Zealand, and have a thorough knowledge of the English curriculum and upcoming developments.
