Job summary

Hiko Electrical Services Ltd, Papamoa (Tauranga), is seeking an experienced Accounts & Payroll Administrator to own AP, AR, payroll and HR admin for our busy local team. The role focuses on Xero accounts, payroll processing, supplier and customer reconciliations, and HR administration while supporting the wider business.

You should be organised, accurate and proactive, with strong Xero and payroll knowledge, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced trades environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in accounts and payroll.
• Knowledge of New Zealand payroll requirements.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and GST month-end processes.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable and weekly supplier payments.
• Handle Accounts Receivable, invoicing and debt collection.
• Perform reconciliations for bank, supplier, customer and credit cards.
• Process fortnightly payroll using Xero Payroll.
• Manage timesheets, leave, PAYE, KiwiSaver and payroll adjustments.
• Prepare payroll journals and payroll-related month-end tasks.
• Oversee onboarding/offboarding and HR administration.
