Job summary

Overland Footwear Group is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team. You will manage end-to-end AP processing for NZ and Australian operations, ensuring invoices are accurately coded and processed on time, with regular payment runs and supplier reconciliations.

We value accuracy, strong communication with internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to work in a hybrid environment. Experience with ERP systems and Excel is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Accounts Payable or similar finance administration role.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial information.
• Good organisational and time management skills to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills liaising with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Proactive problem-solving to identify and follow up on discrepancies.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end accounts payable processing, ensure invoices coded, approved, and processed on time.
• Prepare and complete scheduled payment runs for NZ and Australian entities, including overseas payments.
• Review supplier statements, investigate discrepancies and follow up on invoice irregularities.
• Maintain accurate supplier records and payment details in the system.
• Reconcile and process company credit card transactions (BNZ/NAB/AMEX).
• Ensure payments are supported by documentation and remittances sent to suppliers.

About the Role

We're looking for an Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team at Overland Footwear Group. Supporting our New Zealand and Australian operations, you'll play an important role in managing accounts payable processes, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time. What you'll be doing

• Manage end-to-end accounts payable processing, ensuring invoices are accurately coded, approved, and processed within agreed timeframes.
• Prepare and complete scheduled payment runs for New Zealand and Australian entities, including overseas payments.
• Review supplier statements, investigate discrepancies and follow up on invoice irregularities.
• Maintain accurate supplier records and payment details within the system.
• Reconcile and process company credit card transactions, including BNZ Visa, NAB Visa and AMEX.
• Ensure all payments are supported by the appropriate documentation and authorisations, with remittances sent to suppliers following payment runs.
• Review and process employee expense claims, ensuring supporting documentation and approvals are in place.
• Prepare and distribute monthly sales reports to relevant retail malls, ensuring reporting is accurate and submitted on time.
• Provide support across the wider Finance team and assist with ad hoc tasks as required.

• Good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify and follow up on discrepancies.
• Comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using accounting or ERP systems.
