The Opportunity

This is a dynamic role within a collaborative finance team, ideal for someone ready to take ownership and lead. You’ll manage financial and month-end reporting, compliance, and Accounting IT systems, while spearheading development initiatives and taking full responsibility for tax governance and regulatory alignment.

OneFortyOne is a leading sustainable forestry and forest products company operating across New Zealand and Australia. OFO New Zealand manages 80,000 hectares of forest and a sawmill in Blenheim.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare year-end financial statements and manage external audits
  • Oversee cashflow forecasting and banking relationships
  • Ensure full tax compliance across FBT, PAYE, GST, Withholding Tax, and Income Tax
  • Lead and strengthen tax governance across the NZ business
  • Maintain and optimise financial systems, including NetSuite and Adaptive Insights
  • Manage the month-end close process, including FX translations and post-close reconciliations
  • Lead financial development projects, including ITC-related initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with relevant international accounting standards
  • Support internal audit requirements and drive system improvements
  • Work closely with our Australian counterparts to ensure accurate group consolidations, debt management, and financial reporting
  • Provide operational and technical support to the financial team members
Your Profile
  • CA/CPA qualified preferred with practice and/or commercial experience
  • Experience with financial systems, NetSuite and Adaptive preferable
  • Collaborative, analytical, and detail-oriented
  • Proven or emerging people leader
  • Full NZ working rights and experience

The position’s hours are flexible between 30-40 hours per week, depending on your skills and preference.
