Job summary

KPMG Tauranga is seeking an Accountant or Senior Accountant to join the Private Enterprise - Delivery & Data Excellence (DDX) team. You'll deliver accurate enterprise technical services and own the delivery of your work on complex compliance accounting and tax issues.

This role offers exposure to a broad client base, accelerated learning, and a vibrant, collaborative culture with a hybrid working model across office, client sites and home hubs.

Qualifications

• Be working towards completion of, or have completed, a tertiary degree in Accounting.
• Ideally holding CAANZ or CPA membership, or membership of a relevant overseas professional body.
• Competent user of MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and accounting systems.
• Ability to deal with multiple tasks concurrently.
• Professional approach to work and strong client focus.
• Team player who can work autonomously with excellent communication and time management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual financial statements, income tax returns and other compliance deliverables for a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Deliver high-quality technical compliance work, applying accounting and tax knowledge to resolve issues and ensure accurate outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with engagement teams and contribute to efficient delivery of services.
• Coach and support the development of junior team members through knowledge sharing and review.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies in delivery.
• Contribute to the evolution of the Delivery & Data Excellence team.

• We're looking for an Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our Private Enterprise team in Tauranga. You'll have the opportunity to utilize new technology and processes to deliver accurate and timely enterprise technical services of varying levels of complexity to the business.

• Previous relevant professional accounting experience.

• Be working towards completion of, or have completed, a tertiary degree in Accounting.
• Ideally holding on to or working towards CAANZ or CPA membership, or membership of a relevant overseas professional body.
• Competent user of MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and accounting systems.
• Ability to deal with multiple tasks concurrently.
• Professional approach to work and strong client focus.
