Accountant

What this role is responsible for:

Reporting to the Director of Finance, ownership of the day-to-day accounting across a number of Crimson entities. This includes, but is not limited to:

General Ledger & Financial Reporting

  1. Full book accounting for Crimson entities/ subsidiaries - perform journal entry bookings to maintain the GL, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions.
  2. Perform monthly and year-end close procedures including P&L review and analysis.
  3. Perform monthly reconciliations (eg. Bank Recon, Balance Sheet Recon).
  4. Assistance with annual audit and any financial statement preparation.
  5. VAT/ Tax Filing & Reporting.
Accounts Receivable
  1. Process incoming customer payments and reconcile customer accounts.
  2. Track and manage accounts receivable aging, escalating aged amounts for corrective action.
Accounts Payable
  1. Process vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements accurately and timely, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
  2. Manage vendor relationships, including communication and resolving inquiries.
Payroll
  1. With the assistance from payroll providers, process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  2. Process payroll journals in the accounting system.
Other Duties
  1. Adhere to internal controls and accounting policies and procedures.
  2. Assist with ad-hoc projects/ tasks as assigned.
  3. Contribute to process improvement to uplift Finance function.
What success looks like:

  1. Accurate & timely payment of contractors/ vendors/ employees.
  2. Accurate & timely month end close for each entity.
  3. Supporting wider Finance team in reporting and operational deliverables.
What skills and experience you’ll need:

  1. At least 3 years of experience in Accounting (General Ledger/ Accounts Payable).
  2. Accounting/Finance tertiary background.
  3. Experience with accounting software eg. MS Office Suite, Google Suite, Salesforce and Netsuite.
  4. Highly-motivated individual with process improvement mindset.
  5. Highly-organised with the ability to follow through on tasks with minimal supervision.
  6. Detail-oriented and ability to manage complex administrative systems/ processes.
  7. Strong interpersonal & communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with internal/external stakeholders at all levels.
  8. Problem-solver who takes ownership of delivering solutions.
  9. Curious & committed to continuous learning & improvement.
