Our team in Auckland currently has an opening for a Account Manager (Food & Nutrition)

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Business Manager ANZ, you will be responsible for facilitating the development and growth of customer relationships by leveraging all communication channels including digital resources. You will be results driven, have strong solutions-based selling skills and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Achieving sales targets through effective execution of the sales strategy and proactively leveraging all communication channels including digital channels and face to face interactions
  • Proactively developing and managing customer relationships within an assigned territory and/or customer segment to drive business growth and market share
  • Executing business plans and sales strategies to defend and grow account sales and customer segments. Key to this is developing industry knowledge, fostering cross-functional collaboration and value-creation
  • Increasing GP and product portfolio by identifying customer potentials as well as initiating opportunities to drive cross-selling / range-sell / value-based pricing
  • Utilising call planning, pipeline management, lead identification and qualification, proactive sales calling and performance monitoring to drive sales and achieve set targets
  • Liaising with relevant internal stakeholders to determine the best solution for the customer and extracting maximum value (e.g., Sales Team, Product Management, Customer Service, Supply Chain)
  • Submitting accurate forecasts and forecast updates as requested on a timely basis, managing effective pricing strategies to include, but not limited to: Contracts, Pricing Agreements, Renewals, negotiations, and implementations
  • Ensuring customers receive the correct quantity of product, at the right time, in the right location to meet budgeted, contracted, and forecast requirements
YOUR PROFILE
  • Tertiary qualified in science, chemistry, or related discipline
  • 3+ years’ of B2B sales experience in a food / ingredients related commercial role
  • Proven track record of sales experience with knowledge of account management
  • Results orientated with strong solution-based selling skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships; build credibility and trust with internal stakeholders and customers
  • Must have a best practice continuous improvement and customer excellence mindset
  • An agile, highly collaborative, and early adopter mindset
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Digitally savvy, self-motivated, ability to prioritise and take initiative, strong organisational and time management skills
  • Strong Interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and plan and prioritise in an effective manner to achieve goals for sustainable results
  • Ability to travel as required for customer visits
