Job summary

True Grit in Christchurch is seeking a Year 3 Hairdressing Apprentice to join our New Generation team. This full-time role is for someone with a solid salon foundation who is eager to advance their cutting and colour work while building a client base.

You'll work alongside experienced stylists, learn new techniques, and contribute to a busy salon. If you are in year 3 of your apprenticeship and passionate about hair, we'd love to hear from you.

Qualifications

True Grit is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Year 3 Hairdressing Apprentice to join our New Generation team.

We’re looking for someone who already has a great foundation of salon skills and is ready to take the next step, building confidence behind the chair, developing their cutting and colour work, growing their clientele and learning alongside an experienced team.

You’ll ideally have experience in:

• Client consultations and customer care
• Blow waving and styling
• Cutting and finishing
• Colour application
• Foiling, lightening and toning
• Treatments and haircare recommendations
• Working confidently as part of a busy salon team

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is passionate about hair, eager to learn and genuinely loves looking after clients.
