Job summary

A dynamic secondary school in Auckland seeks an enthusiastic and caring New Zealand registered teacher to join its Maths department. Tamaki College is a dynamic and innovative secondary school, committed to providing high-quality education for our diverse student population. As an AIMHI school and the original Manaiakalani Secondary School, we leverage digital technologies to enhance student learning and prepare our students for success in the 21st century.

We are seeking a New Zealand registered teacher with excellent classroom practice to join a supportive and collegial Maths department. The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic and caring person, committed to working with our diverse young people and embracing our school values of Respect, Innovation, Success and Excellence (RISE).

This is a full-time, permanent position, beginning term 1, Wednesday 21st January 2026.

Applicants must be NZ registered teachers residing in New Zealand and be fully conversant with the NZ Curriculum.

The successful applicant will have New Zealand teaching experience, be innovative, collaborative, energetic and has a proven track record of teaching NCEA in a multicultural environment, as well as a sound understanding of the latest curriculum.
