Job summary

Goodman Fielder's Longburn Dairy site in Palmerston North is hiring three operator roles for the Cultured Foods team. You will be part of a compact production line with on-the-job training and a focus on safe, efficient packing and filling of dairy products.

Shifts run Monday to Friday, starting at 05:30 with one week on 14:30 finish and one week on 23:15 finish; the role is fixed-term with potential to extend and offers a competitive hourly rate and overtime opportunities.

We are looking to fill three operator roles, for the Cultured Foods team. Full on the job training will be given, where you will be part of a team filling and packing a great range of dairy products. Initially these roles will be fixed term with the potential to extend.

Job Description

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, Starting at 05:30 to 14:30 week one and 14:15 to 23:15 week two.

Key accountabilities of the role include:

• Ensure all health and safety rules, standards and policies are adhered to, including reporting any incidents or near misses to the Supervisor.
• Ensure the highest product quality standards are maintained.
• Ensure all equipment is operated according to Site standards.
• Make an active contribution to the team environment by sharing knowledge and collaborating with others to develop a high performing team.
• Assist with maintaining a clean work environment to comply with expected standards.
• Capable of lifting up to 20kgs
• Mechanical experience and/ or a current Forklift license (desirable)
