A global consulting firm in Oslo seeks an experienced AI Network Engineer to manage and optimize high-performance network infrastructures for AI data centers. We’re looking for an experienced AI Network Engineer to manage and optimize high-performance network infrastructures for AI data centers. This role involves working with advanced networking technologies, NVIDIA stack components, and ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient connectivity for AI workloads. Lead network operations and ensure compliance with SLAs/OLAs.
Maintain and configure network devices for security and operational needs.
Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and NVIDIA evolutions.
Manage day‑to‑day AI Data Center network operations, including incident handling and change requests.
Implement robust security measures and optimize network performance for AI workloads.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, ISIS, VRF, VXLAN, EVPN, QoS, GRE, IPSEC, DNS.
Experience managing large‑scale IP networking infrastructures and troubleshooting.
Expertise in network security (firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention).
Hands‑on experience with Layer 2/3 protocols and routing/switching.
Automation skills for network infrastructure using Python or similar scripting languages.
Familiarity with UFM (Unified Fabric Manager), InfiniBand Routing Engine.
Knowledge of ROCE networking and RDMA programming.
Experience with NVIDIA NetQ and configuring Nvidia BlueField DPU.
Experience with NVIDIA InfiniBand networking technologies.
Certification on NVIDIA Spectrum‑X platform administration.
Understanding of AI and high‑performance computing architectures.
Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and NetDevOps practices.
NVIDIA Certified Professional – InfiniBand.
Ideally around 7+ years in relevant roles.
Norwegian citizenship with a minimum of 10 years of continuous residency in Norway is an absolute requirement for this role since security clearance will be mandatory.
