Job summary

Noroff Higher Vocational College in Bergen is seeking a Campus Teacher to deliver Network and Systems Administration and Network and IT-Security courses on campus. You will join a distributed team of educators and collaborate on course development, assessments, and student support.

The role requires teamwork and excellent communication, with strong Norwegian and English, plus a willingness to adopt innovative teaching methods and participate in pedagogical training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer security or a related field, vocational higher professional degree in networking and security or relevant skills and experience.
• Practice and procedures in penetration testing.
• Operating systems, networks and network security.
• Programming (Python).
• Professional level of Norwegian and English.
• Valid residency permit for Norway.

Responsibilities

• Teach campus students with lectures and practical sessions and associated administration for courses.
• Develop and contribute to the maintenance of courses.
• Develop and run effective assessments with adequate feedback to students.
• Provide appropriate levels of guidance, care, and support for students ensuring interpersonal skills are adequately developed.
• Supervise the work of students in areas such as personal projects, fieldwork, and industry placements.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and students through internal networks, and the sharing of ideas and information.
• Engage students at all levels in innovative, informative, and rigorous teaching and learning practices.

Are you a Network and Systems Administrator or IT Security expert eager to inspire the next generation of tech professionals? Join Noroff Higher Vocational College as a Campus Teacher in Bergen and make a lasting impact.

You will join a distributed team of educators, working in close collaboration, delivering vocational courses in Network and Systems Administration (NSA) and Network and IT‑Security (NIS). As such, evidence of prior teamwork and excellent communication skills are essential. In addition to their area of expertise, we are looking to appoint someone who is enthusiastic about learning and education in general and is open to innovative models of learning and teaching.

Your key responsibilities
