Make an impact

Step into an important role at Swisslog as a Field Service Engineer. In this position, your technical skills and customer focus will help ensure the performance and reliability of advanced automated material handling systems at customer site. This position is at a fixed customer site located in Våler. You will together with one colleague be fully responsible for the customer with the support from your leader and extended team.

This is not just a hands‑on technical job. It is a chance to become a trusted partner to our customers and a key part of our Customer Service team. You will work independently, take ownership of your tasks, and contribute to a company that values initiative, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

You will ensure that the customer system operation is always kept to the maximum, ensuring adherence to all the relevant instructions and technical standards.

You will act as Swisslog’s public face, maintaining strong customer relationships and planning service activities in close collaboration with the customer to ensure high satisfaction and system uptime.

You will identify opportunities for system improvements and upgrades and communicate these to relevant stakeholders within Swisslog.

  • You understand the importance of Health and Safety regulations and make sure you always conduct your work in a safe manner.

You will also be part of the preparedness group and support with acute incidents that cannot be amended remotely by our other support teams within Controls and Software.

What you need to succeed

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated professional who thrives in a dynamic, hands‑on environment.

  • Several years of experience as a service technician, preferably within electronics or automation
  • Good technical knowledge in areas like electronics, control systems, mechanics, or pneumatics
  • A technical degree or vocational certificate in a relevant field
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to solving problems
  • Experience with documentation and reporting
  • Confidence using different computer systems and handling administrative tasks
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Physical readiness and comfort working at heights
  • You are fluent in English and in any Scandinavian language, both spoken and written.
