Vessel Manager

Are you a structured, responsible, and experienced professional seeking development opportunities within a growing global company?

As our Vessel Manager, you will be the supporting resource onshore, maintaining communication between the vessels and the operations office. You will ensure the vessels' technical conditions, plan and execute shipyard stays, and work with business cases, vessel improvements, budgets, and KPI reporting. We are looking for someone with high technical competence in marine operations with a desire for an onshore career.

Key responsibilities:

  • Being the key contact for all vessel technical matters
  • Ensuring vessels comply with class rules, regulations, and company standards
  • Monitoring production, crew, and harvesting matters
  • Planning, presenting, and managing vessel budgets
  • Planning and executing shipyard stays
  • Handling insurance claims correctly
  • Building and maintaining an idea bank (Trello) for vessel improvements and business cases
  • Assisting vessel operation departments as needed
  • Maintaining contact with local agencies worldwide
  • Keeping the risk matrix updated
  • Managing spare parts inventory and strategy

Qualifications:

  • Relevant work experience (preferably several years)
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; training in TM Master and Shipadmin is a plus
  • Technical or nautical education preferred
