Job description

This opportunity is an ideal fit for highly ambitious and hard-working students and alumni who seek an international career at a top-tier financial services firm, either within investment banking, private equity or venture capital. The interns report directly to a Partner who has over 10 years of investment banking and venture capital experience from New York and London.

The positions are unpaid and serve as an opportunity for strong candidates to gain hands-on VC investment experience early on in their careers.

Each intern will be coached by an experienced team member and learn-by-doing how company analysis, investment management and corporate valuation is done in live investment and exit scenarios.

nFront's team-oriented approach provides interns with a unique opportunity to take on substantial responsibility, including leading the investment sourcing process and running prospect meetings.

Most of the company's work is international of nature, with investment prospects and co-investors typically from established entrepreneurship hubs across Europe and the U.S.

Due to team's direct ties to the international VC community, previous interns have moved on to full-time roles at various top-tier investment banks and VC/PE firms, both locally and abroad.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the deal process from start to finish, including sourcing new prospects, running introduction meetings, conducting in-depth financial/technical/strategic analysis, and presenting the prospects to the investment team
  • Assist with overall deal-flow management
  • Conduct research on markets, technology use cases and industry trends
  • Communicate and integrate day-to-day with the core team to complete key priorities
  • Develop financial and operational models relating to live fundraising scenarios
  • Create presentation materials for prospects and portfolio companies
  • Support with marketing and investor relations
Job Requirements

No previous VC knowledge is required, these skills will be taught throughout the internship. nFront is looking for candidates who are passionate about the intersect of finance and technology. The candidate should possess the following attributes:

Timing

nFront is flexible with regards to the internship's start date. The minimum duration is 2 months, however longer periods are possible.

The positions are full-time and in-person, at nFront's offices in Oslo.

Students writing their Master -or Bachelor theses are also welcome to apply. The theses can be written about specific work conducted for the firm.
