Job summary

Unleash is seeking a UX or Product Designer with a few years of experience to join a distributed team shaping the next generation of our AI-powered feature management platform. You will collaborate with Engineering and other stakeholders to deliver user-centered, scalable designs.

You will apply AI tooling, run experiments, and validate ideas with users, shipping iterative improvements in a fast-paced, remote-first environment with periodic EU off-sites.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of experience as a UX Designer, Product Designer, or in a similar role
• Experience with SaaS or developer tools is preferred
• Fluency in English and able to work in a distributed team
• Ability to run design experiments and use UX metrics to drive decisions
• Proficiency with AI-assisted design tools and rapid prototyping
• Able to build prototypes in collaboration with Engineering and ensure user-centered outcomes

Responsibilities

• Work closely with users, Engineering, and stakeholders to build the best experience for development teams
• Understand customers' needs, workflows, and pain points to solve real problems
• Turn insights and data into prototypes and finished designs, including clear, trustworthy AI-powered features

• Use AI tools daily for research, exploration, and faster prototyping

About Unleash

Unleash is an open source feature management platform that helps development teams experiment faster while reducing the risks of releasing software in production. Our mantra is “Create with freedom. Release with confidence.”

Modern software teams move fast, but releasing safely is still one of the hardest parts of building software. That is why we created Unleash. Our platform allows teams to separate deployment from release, run controlled experiments, and roll out new functionality safely in production through feature flags, gradual rollouts, and experimentation.

What started as an open source project on GitHub in 2015 became a company in Oslo in 2019. Today, Unleash is used by thousands of development teams worldwide, from startups to large enterprises running mission critical systems. We measure the user experience to understand what works and what should be improved, and we work with an MVP mindset: we experiment, ship small, and learn fast. You will join a well-established UX team that works closely with Engineering and the rest of the organization every day. This role reports to the VP of Customer Experience.

Who we believe you are

We believe you:

• Bring 2 to 4 years of experience as a UX Designer, Product Designer, or in a similar role, ideally working with SaaS or developer tools

• Work AI-first and use AI tools throughout the design process

• Enjoy shipping a small first version, learning from real-world usage, and improving it step by step

• Know how to use design experiments, UX metrics, and data to make decisions

• Are skilled in Figma and Claude, and can build prototypes in close collaboration with Engineering

• Communicate clearly, are fluent in English, and are comfortable working in a fully distributed team

• Have a strong understanding of business outcomes and how design can contribute to achieving them

• Ideally have designed AI features or AI-powered products, which is a big plus
