Zusammenfassung

Jotron is seeking an Underwater Acoustic Systems Engineer to develop specialist competence in underwater acoustics and contribute to future maritime products. The role blends theory, finite element modelling, experimental work and practical product development aimed at robust, repeatable and manufacturable solutions.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams to turn concepts into reliable sensors and systems able to perform in demanding maritime environments and scale for series production.

Qualifikationen

• MSc/PhD in a physics/acoustics/electronics/mechatronics or related field; equivalent experience may compensate.
• Strong interest in acoustics, sensor technology and physical systems.
• Proficient in English and Norwegian, both written and spoken.
• Experience with modelling, simulation, testing and product development.

Aufgaben

• Develop underwater acoustic sensor technology and underwater systems.
• Use modelling, simulation, laboratory testing and measurements to understand and evaluate acoustic performance.
• Design, build and test prototypes, and validate simulations through practical experiments.
• Investigate technical challenges and contribute to robust, reliable product designs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure solutions can be manufactured and tested efficiently.
