We are searching for a highly skilled and experienced Turner to join our team on a contract basis in Alta, Canada. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machine tools to create precision metal parts for our clients. Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machines to produce precision metal parts according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret technical blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine the best methods and materials required for production.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure accuracy of finished products.
  • Monitor machines during operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
  • Inspect finished parts for defects or imperfections and make necessary repairs or adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts.
  • Adhere to safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in machining preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Turner in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of various machine tools including lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machines.
  • Ability to read technical blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, chisels, files etc. for finishing work.
  • Good physical dexterity and stamina to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during production.
Salary

We offer a competitive salary of $1400 per week along with other benefits such as free visa sponsorship and a round-trip ticket to Alta, Canada.
