DNV Group in Group Research and Development seeks a Researcher in energy security to develop methods and tools for threat-informed risk assessment of critical energy infrastructure.

The role focuses on AI-supported collection and synthesis of open-source threat information, describing threat actors, capabilities, intent, targets and attack vectors, and translating findings into risk assessments and protective security measures.

Qualifications

• Experience in collecting and evaluating threat information.
• Ability to translate research results into practical security recommendations.

Responsabilités

• Develop repeatable AI-supported methods to collect, classify, evaluate and consolidate open-source threat information for critical energy infrastructure.
• Establish threat pictures describing actors, capabilities, intent, targets, attack vectors and plausible scenarios.
• Translate threat pictures into inputs for security risk assessments and protective measures.
• Develop methods to identify vulnerabilities in energy systems (power, oil&gas, transport).
• Develop and test AI-supported prototypes for monitoring, evaluation and updating of threat pictures.
• Validate methods through case studies with energy companies, authorities and stakeholders.
• Translate research results into concepts for future DNV assurance services.
• Document and communicate methods, assumptions, uncertainty and results through reports, publications and presentations.
