Job description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Safety Lead to take a key role in major projects. In this position, you will be responsible for developing safety solutions, ensuring technical safety compliance, and providing strong discipline leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

This role demands deep expertise in safety engineering, strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, and the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines to secure safe design and execution.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and define safety strategies and solutions to the best level of detail.
  • Act as Technical Safety Lead, ensuring discipline activities are executed according to project needs and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant procedures, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Follow up on project schedules and ensure timely delivery of safety-related tasks.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, providing safety input and technical guidance across project interfaces.
  • Perform and follow up on:
  • Area classification.
  • Escape and evacuation analysis.
  • ESD systems.
  • Functional safety.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, safety engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience within technical safety and the listed work tasks.
  • Strong understanding of regulations and standards, including TR, NORSOK, and other relevant frameworks.
  • Preferably experience with FPSO projects.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to provide clear guidance to stakeholders.
  • High level of commitment to deadlines, quality, and project standards.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and experienced in sharing and gathering information across disciplines.
