Overview

We are seeking a Technical Advisor – Energy to strengthen our team. Do you enjoy solving problems, meeting new people, and working with cutting-edge technology? Are you motivated by technical challenges and interested in next-generation vessels and energy solutions? If you have experience with electrical systems such as switchboards, switchgear, drives, battery packages, or energy technologies, this could be the role for you. Both recent graduates and experienced electricians or engineers with relevant backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Position Overview

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for customers across the Americas.
  • Develop and promote technical solutions tailored to customer projects.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support, including email and phone assistance.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and regional project management.
  • Support service engineers and the aftermarket team with technical and operational issues.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing within internal and external networks.
  • Participate in the regional “Technical Advisor Team” for AES Americas.
  • Join the 24/7 duty phone support rotation.
  • Travel occasionally for projects and competence development.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical support to internal and external customers.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating service engineer assignments.
  • Follow up on requests, cases, and incidents to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or relevant technical education (preferred).
  • Experience with automation systems, drives, and protection relay test equipment (advantage).
  • Knowledge of software programming (advantage).
  • Field experience with maritime electrical systems or similar industries.
  • Low voltage certificate or High voltage certificate (Authorized to work with electrical systems up to 1000VAC/1500VDC or above 1000VAC (High voltage)).
  • Electrician (Experience: 4y+), Drive/VFD Technician, LV or HV Switchboard builder, Battery Technician.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written.
