Job summary

Industry & Commerce partners with a fast-growing technology company to recruit a Technical Accounting Manager on a permanent basis. You will report to the Head of Technical Accounting within the Group team and help shape the technical accounting framework during a period of change.

This role suits someone stepping out of practice or moving up within industry, with responsibilities spanning advising on deals, leading policy implementation, and coordinating year-end disclosures.

Qualifications

• ACA qualified, ideally from a Top 10 practice.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and ability to draft papers.
• Able to summarize technical matters for diverse audiences.
• Excellent communication to translate accounting into business language.

Responsibilities

• Advise group and unit finance teams on the accounting implications of deals and new contracts.
• Deliver regular accounting training to finance teams across the group.
• Lead group implementation of new and amended accounting standards.
• Set, review and monitor adherence to group accounting policies.
• Own key group accounting processes (goodwill impairment, share-based payments, going concern).
• Contribute accounting content to quarterly Audit Committee and Board papers.
• Own and review year-end and interim financial disclosures.
• Liaise with external auditors on accounting judgements.

I am partnering with a fast-growing Technology company on a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Accounting Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. For this role you will be reporting into the Head of Technical Accounting and work within the wider Group team.

This is a brilliant role for someone looking to step out of practice and into a their frist role in industry or someone who is looking for a step up. In this role you’ll be key in shaping the technical accounting framework of a business that’s going through a lot of change.

What you’ll be doing:

• Deliver regular accounting training to finance teams across the group.
• Lead group implementation of new and amended accounting standards.
• Set, review and monitor adherence to group accounting policies.
• Own key group accounting processes, goodwill impairment, share-based payments, going concern and long-term viability.
• Contribute accounting content to quarterly Audit Committee and Board papers.
• Own and review year-end and interim financial statement disclosures.
• Liaise with external auditors on accounting judgements and the group audit.

What we’re looking for:

• ACA qualified, ideally from a Top 10 practice
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, including reviewing and drafting accounting papers.
• Abilit to summarise techinical matters for multiple audiences.
• Excellent communication skills and able to translate complex accounting into clear business language
