Una candidatura hecha a medida para este puesto de trabajo — un currículum y una carta de presentación adaptados que responden directamente a la oferta.
Bitfocus is seeking an infrastructure engineer to own and evolve our hybrid enterprise infrastructure, blending cloud backends with on‑prem and edge deployments. You’ll drive reliability, security, automation, and incident response across corporate systems and customer environments.
Based in Oslo with a flexible remote option, you’ll influence tooling choices (Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes) and build resilient pipelines that scale for global use while maintaining ISO security standards.
We’re looking for an infrastructure engineer who can take ownership of our infrastructure, balancing core enterprise IT with the scalable cloud backends behind our products.
You understand how to build resilient, secure, and reproducible systems. That means anticipating failure modes, replacing manual operations with automation, keeping security tight, and handling day-to-day operations, so both internal systems and mission-critical customer environments keep running.
You won’t just work through a predefined ticket queue. We expect you to ask questions like:
You’ll be responsible for three areas:
We automate to eliminate toil. We use scripting and AI-assisted tools extensively for provisioning, log analysis, debugging, and operational tasks. This lets a lean team manage complex hybrid environments.
We’re looking for someone comfortable using modern tooling aggressively to cut manual work, while taking full operational responsibility for enterprise security, system stability, and day-to-day IT reliability.
Ownership
Lead our infrastructure strategy while collaborating closely with the team to refine ideas.
Interesting technical problems
Bridging the cloud with physical hardware, managing low-latency hybrid networks, and scaling systems for global enterprise use.
Remote that actually means remote
Our home base is in Oslo, and we’d love to find someone who wants to work from the office, but it isn’t a requirement. We already have team members working fully remotely from Germany, the UK, and the US.
A team that likes hard problems
You’ll join a group of people who enjoy solving hard problems together.
People from many backgrounds
Our team comes from all sorts of backgrounds: live‑production veterans, project management, IT, travel agency, broadcast, cloud specialists, and people straight from school. You’ll help shape where Bitfocus goes next.
High impact, low bureaucratic noise
In a small, fast-moving startup, your work is immediately visible. Your decisions directly shape both the product and how we build engineering culture.
A fun, inclusive place to build
We take our product seriously because our users operate in high-stakes live environments, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We’ve built an inclusive culture made up of all kinds of personalities and backgrounds. Expect a warm, open, collaborative team, with plenty of laughs along the way.
We make complex broadcast and AV control feel simple.
Bitfocus was founded in Oslo in 2018 by people from live production who were tired of bloated, legacy systems. Our roots are in Bitfocus Companion, our open‑source control platform trusted by over 300,000 live operators worldwide. Today, we’re building Buttons: a platform that orchestrates hundreds of target systems across broadcast galleries, master control rooms, corporate events, and massive live performance spaces.
We’re a small team that takes real pride in Buttons. Individual ownership is high, and engineering has significant influence over both the product and how we build it.
Building the product takes more than code: design, brand strategy, customer understanding, and a team with many skills working toward the same goal. We work like a startup: fast-paced, pragmatic and focused on progress over bureaucracy.
Our customers rely on us during high‑stakes live events. That’s why we balance startup speed with a commitment to craft, human‑centered UX, and rock‑solid system reliability.
If you’re looking for a fast-paced environment where your infrastructure design directly impacts thousands of live production users every day, we’d like to hear from you.
