Vadsø Municipality is seeking skilled nurses for permanent positions, with responsibilities including clinical care and team leadership. On behalf of Vadsø Municipality in Northern Norway, we are currently recruiting three dedicated and skilled nurses for 100% permanent positions in nursing homes and home care.
The department includes a nursing home, care and residential facilities, as well as the Vidjeveien housing community. All units provide 24-hour care. The newly built nursing home (2023) has 17 beds, the care facilities have 34 apartments, and the Vidjeveien housing community has 10 apartments. The department is actively focusing on welfare technology and has been certified as a "Livsgledehjem" (Joy of Life Home), aiming to enhance the quality of life and empowerment for residents.
Position overview:100% permanent position
Rotational shift schedule with work every third weekend
Clinical nursing care and follow-up
General caregiving tasks
Coordination of service offerings
Interdisciplinary collaboration
Team leadership
Has authorization as a registered nurse in an EU country
Speaks English fluently, both written and spoken -- and motivated to learn Norwegian
Experience in elderly and dementia care is highly valued
Team leadership experience is a plus
Further education in geriatrics or dementia/elderly psychiatry is an advantage
Police clearance and health certificate for tuberculosis and MRSA required upon employment
Strong professional focus and passion for elderly care
Positive attitude and proactive work ethic
