Job summary

atNorth is seeking a Site Development Manager to establish and manage local stakeholder relationships for data centre development. You will represent the company locally, coordinating permitting, community engagement, and operational readiness to ensure responsible, efficient project execution.

Qualifications include a background in business/administration or related field and experience with municipalities, regulatory bodies, and local communities. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Relevant academic background in business, public administration, communications, political science, or a related field.
• Experience in site development, stakeholder management, public affairs, or community engagement in infrastructure, energy, real estate, or industrial projects.
• Experience working with municipalities, regulatory bodies, and local communities.
• Solid understanding of permitting processes, public consultation requirements, and local governance structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead relationships with local authorities and stakeholders to enable site development.
• Drive permitting, approval, and public consultation processes with development and delivery teams.
• Act as local representative ensuring alignment with communities.
• Build strategic partnerships supporting project development and long-term local presence.
• Coordinate local communication and media activities with corporate communications.
• Represent the company at local meetings, forums, and events.
• Provide insights and regular reporting on local risks and opportunities.
• Support establishing local operational foundations, including vendors and office setup.
• Prepare site for transition into full operations.
