M-SA is the Approval Organization within Maritime Ship Classification and consists of more than 400 employees, located mainly in Norway (Ålesund and Høvik), Germany (Hamburg) and Poland (Gdynia). The main services delivered by the Approval Centre are approval, verification, and certification services for ship newbuilding, systems and components.

Department Ship Structures & Stability (M-SA-S) is a part of M-SA and is organized in 5 sections, where one of the sections is Hull – Ocean Space Operation Vessels (M-SA-SO). M-SA-SO has 18 skilled employees responsible for hull approval of special vessels like fishing vessels, offshore service vessels, support vessels, tugs, barges and pontoons. Driven by the employees’ competence and motivation to help and support our customers through consistent delivery of high‑quality services. As a member of the M-SA community you will work with professional, service‑oriented colleagues, with unique possibilities to develop both deep and broad technical competence, and to build relations to a wide network of experts across geographical locations and technical disciplines.
