Job summary

Skretting is seeking a Procurement / Agri-Commodity Analyst to join the Global Procurement team in Stavanger. You will support the Category Manager for vegetable ingredients with market analysis, data insights, and stakeholder collaboration to shape sourcing decisions.

You will build forward-looking price curves, analyze market movements, and strengthen supply chain resilience while advancing AI-enabled procurement tools and processes. Strong English, analytics, and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in business, procurement, supply chain, or related field.
• Genuine interest in strategic sourcing and supply chain management.
• In-depth knowledge of agri-commodities, markets, indices, and interdependencies.
• Experience using data analysis to support business decisions.
• Proficient with digital tools and exploring AI value in procurement.
• Advanced Excel and Power BI skills; strong analytical mindset.
• Strong English communication, both written and spoken.
• Structured, proactive work style with ownership and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support the Category Manager for vegetable ingredients with category management activities.
• Prepare market reports, dashboards, KPI tracking to support sourcing decisions.
• Gather and communicate market intelligence to unlock value from volatility.
• Develop and maintain forward-looking price curves for key commodities.
• Conduct backward-looking analysis to improve forecast accuracy and processes.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Quality, R&D, Sustainability, and stakeholders.
• Engage suppliers and market intelligence providers for forecasts and recommendations.
• Onboard and approve new suppliers with the Quality team.
• Coordinate creation of new suppliers and raw materials with MDM.
• Maintain AI-enabled procurement solutions, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
• Provide recommendations on timing, volumes, and contract duration based on policy.
• Participate in procurement projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
