Staff Software Engineer – Technical impact across Coop

We are looking for an experienced Staff Software Engineer who wants to combine hands-on development with technical leadership, and who enjoys helping teams build robust solutions and make sound technical decisions. You will have broad influence across teams and products while staying close to the technology and the craft of software development.

About the role
You will be part of a product team while also contributing across teams when challenges call for a broader perspective. Together with other Staff Engineers, you will help set technical direction, create strong shared solutions, and be a trusted sparring partner for engineers and teams. The role does not include formal people-management responsibility.

It is an advantage if you also have

• Experience with cloud-native development, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• Familiarity with parts of our stack: Golang, Terraform, GCP, Kubernetes, Protocol Buffers, gRPC, and GitHub.

Norwegian is not a requirement, but it is an advantage. If you do not speak Norwegian when you join, we expect you to attend the Norwegian language course we offer and work towards a basic understanding of the language, as Norwegian is the working language outside the IT organisation.
