Job summary

Dune is seeking an engineer for Data Foundation to own how blockchain data enters and is delivered. You will design, implement, and optimize large distributed data systems, advocate for robust architectures, and work across Go, Kotlin, Rust and Python to deliver scalable solutions.

You will join a distributed, remote-first team and contribute to production-grade data workflows, with emphasis on correctness, performance, and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Strong CS fundamentals and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Experience designing and shipping distributed data systems with clear contracts and state handling.
• Ability to turn product requirements into technical designs and actionable work plans.

Responsibilities

• Turn product requirements into technical requirements and interfaces.
• Break large problems into work that engineers can own and sequence work for early shipping.
• Drive high-impact architectural decisions across the data platform and own components end to end.
• Work across the stack (Go, Kotlin, Rust, Python) choosing the right tool for the job.
• Design for correctness and performance with large-scale ingestion and processing.
• Raise the bar on design reviews, testing, and how work is broken down.
• Mentor engineers in a distributed team.
