Job summary

Capital One Canada is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for Android focused on Capital One Travel. You will own end-to-end mobile design and development across Android platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features.

The role requires 6+ years of native Android experience, mentoring colleagues, and strong knowledge of Java/Kotlin, RxJava, Coroutines, Dagger, and CI tools. The position is hybrid with competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of hands-on development of Native Android applications using Java/Kotlin.
• Experience with Android architecture, design, and data modelling.
• Experience providing mentorship to Junior/Intermediate/Senior mobile associates

Responsibilities

• Own technical design, architecture, and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems
• Work as part of a dynamic mobile team throughout the Software Development Life Cycle
• Improve software engineering practices – work within agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across a full stack of development tools and technologies
• Contribute expertise on how evolving technology affects domain; and
• Provide mentorship to Junior, Intermediate, and Senior mobile associates
