Job summary

A company specializing in electrical systems is seeking a professional to lead commissioning activities in Norway. The role involves ensuring safety in high voltage apparatus operations and maintaining efficient working routines. The ideal candidate has a university degree and proven experience in oil and gas projects, with a strong focus on safety and communication. This is a temporary rotational position from December 2025 to June 2026.

Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• Perform and control completion and commissioning activities for electrical systems.
• Act as the Leader for Safety (FSE) for work on and near High Voltage (HV) apparatus.
• Establish and maintain safe working routines during the execution of construction and commissioning.
• Review and create commissioning procedures for dedicated systems.
• Lead commissioning activities through all phases for the safe and efficient execution of electrical systems.
• Participate in Mechanical Completion (MC) verification to obtain 'Ready for Commissioning' status.
• Follow up on punch work, punch list documentation, and clearance.
• Ensure that 'as-built' documentation is updated with any changes identified during commissioning.
• Identify and follow up on risks and opportunities related to construction and commissioning activities.

Required expertise

• University degree or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience from oil and gas projects.
• Extensive knowledge of Norwegian electrical safety regulations (FEF & FSE).
• In-depth knowledge of relevant governing documentation.
• Well-developed teambuilding, cooperation, and communication abilities.
• Ability to handle responsibility and periodically high workloads.
• A result-oriented and safety-focused mindset.

Language: English

Location: Årskog or Børdalen, Norway, with offshore work required

Work schedule: Rotational (13 days on / 15 days off)

Duration: Temporary assignment from December 2025 to June 2026
