Job summary

Orkla Snacks in Oslo seeks a Solution Architect to shape D2D and F2S landscapes. You will bridge business needs and IT capabilities, driving scalable, secure, data-driven solutions across product development, planning, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and logistics.

You will lead D2D/F2S architectures, manage SAP S/4, SAP IBP, and IPD ecosystems, and partner with vendors to deliver value, maintain governance, and enable automation and harmonization across our application portfolio.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with SAP ERP, preferably FMCG/food & beverage.
• Hands-on knowledge of SAP S/4, IPD and IBP.
• Experience designing, configuring and maintaining business applications.
• Experience with governance, lifecycle management and roadmaps.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and translate needs into designs.
• Experience with outsourcing vendors, SaaS platforms and international environments.
• Knowledge of architectures, integration platforms, cloud technologies, and security practices.
• Fluency in English; Nordic languages a plus.

Job Description

Do you want to play a key role in shaping the future application landscape of Orkla Snacks? We are now looking for a Solution Architect to join our Business Applications team and take responsibility for our Design to Deploy (D2D) and Forecast to Stock (F2S) processes.

In this role, you will act as a bridge between business needs and IT capabilities, ensuring that our application landscape is scalable, secure, efficient, and aligned with the strategic direction of Orkla Snacks. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technology partners to develop, implement, and continuously improve solutions that support product development, planning, procurement, manufacturing, quality management, and logistics.

About the role
As Solution Architect, you will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and support of central business applications within D2D and F2S. This includes SAP S/4, SAP IBP, SAP IPD, and selected additional applications. You will be a strategic partner to the business, helping translate needs into technology requirements and ensuring that our systems enable data-driven decisions, automation, harmonization, and operational excellence.

The role reports to the Head of Business Applications.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the dialogue with business stakeholders within D2D and F2S, with a focus on strategic priorities and business value.
• Own and develop the application roadmap for D2D and F2S, including lifecycle management and input to budgets.
• Design and select scalable, secure, and efficient application architectures that support current and future business needs.
• Oversee and document the D2D and F2S application portfolio, with particular focus on SAP S/4, SAP IBP, and SAP IPD.
• Act as the main IT point of contact for relevant process owners and business managers.
• Translate business needs into technology requirements and lead cross-functional initiatives to support the design and delivery of impactful solutions.
• Drive standardization, harmonization, automation, and continuous improvement across the application landscape.
• Establish and run governance forums to ensure strategic alignment and value-based development efforts.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, vendors and industry trends, particularly within the SAP suite.
• Manage vendors and strategic partners, including evaluation, selection, performance follow-up, and contract-related activities.
• Ensure applications comply with technology standards, security best practices, and relevant compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with SAP ERP, preferably in the FMCG industry and ideally within food and beverage.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP environments, particularly SAP S/4, IPD and IBP
• Experience designing, configuring and maintaining business applications.
• Experience with application governance, lifecycle management and application roadmaps.
• Proven ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and translate business needs into successful system designs and implementations.
• Experience with outsourcing vendors, SaaS platforms and international stakeholder environments.
• Knowledge of application architectures, integration platforms, cloud technologies and security best practices
• Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in other Nordic languages is considered an advantage.
