Job summary

NOV is seeking a Software Developer to join the Zone Management Technology team in Digital Products & Automation. You will work on the Red Zone Manager (RZM) product, combining camera-based AI with industrial automation to detect personnel in hazardous areas and, when necessary, automatically stop machinery to prevent incidents.

You will enjoy solving complex technical problems, work independently while collaborating closely with a team, and contribute to software operating in demanding offshore

Qualifications

• Solid experience in software development with C++ or C#.
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant experience may compensate for formal education.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

NOV is looking for a Software Developer to join our Zone Management Technology team in Digital Products & Automation. The team develops industrial software systems used on offshore drilling rigs worldwide, including the Red Zone Manager (RZM), Anti-Collision System (ACS), and Pipe Interlock Management (PIM) products. These barrier systems help improve operational safety by integrating software, automation, and machine control in demanding offshore environments.

You will primarily work with the Red Zone Manager (RZM), a rapidly growing product within NOV’s automation portfolio. RZM combines camera-based AI with industrial automation to detect personnel in hazardous areas and, when necessary, automatically stop machinery to help prevent incidents. This is an opportunity to work on software systems operating in a real-world industrial environments where performance, reliability and safety have direct operational impact.
