Job summary

Monil is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to help us build a reliable, scalable cloud backend used by thousands of farms worldwide. You’ll own features and deployment reliability as we expand internationally, collaborating across backend, frontend, hardware and embedded teams.

We value strong experience with AWS, Kubernetes (EKS) and PostgreSQL, plus CD pipelines, Prometheus/OpenTelemetry monitoring, and network skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Proven ability to design and maintain CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
• Hands-on experience running PostgreSQL databases.
• Strong networking knowledge for cloud-scale systems.
• Experience with monitoring/alerting using Prometheus and OpenTelemetry.
• Fluent Norwegian (preferred) or exceptional English; able to work in Norway/EU.
• Experience in startup or fast-paced environments; comfortable with rapid changes.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes (EKS) and related tooling (Terraform, ArgoCD, LinkerD, Alloy, Tempo).

Responsibilities

Our devices collect large amounts of real-time data from animals in the field. We're now looking for a Site Reliability Engineer who wants to help us build a reliable platform, scaling across the globe.

What we're looking for

Strong experience with AWS and Kubernetes

Experience with building and maintaining CD pipelines and deployment strategies

Experience running and maintaining PostgreSQL databases

Experience with networks

Experience with monitoring and alerting using tools such as Prometheus and OpenTelemetry

Fluency in Norwegian (preferred, but we make exceptions for the exceptional)

Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment

Heavy use of Kubernetes (EKS)

Terraform, ArgoCD, LinkerD, Alloy, Tempo and more
