Job summary

CTS Group is seeking a Site Manager – Special Packages for a major data centre project in Fyresdal, Norway. The role focuses on coordinating specialist construction packages on site, managing interfaces between subcontractors, management, design, QA/QC, and HSE to ensure delivery on time and to quality standards.

You will lead site activities, monitor progress, and drive solutions for interfaces and issues while maintaining high safety and quality performance across the project team.

Qualifications

• Degree or technical education in Construction/Engineering.
• Trade qualification or technical education in related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate assigned specialist construction packages on site.

• Ensure works are executed per drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Monitor progress against short-term plans and milestones.

• Ensure resources (labour, materials, equipment) align with planned activities.
• Participate in daily and weekly coordination meetings.
• Support inspections, snagging, punch-list closeout and handover activities.
• Maintain strong focus on HSE and quality performance.
• Provide regular updates on progress, risks, resources.

Site Manager – Special Packages

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager – Special Packages to join our project team in Fyresdal and support the delivery of a major data centre development.

The role will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing specialist construction packages on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and in accordance with project quality requirements.

You will work closely with subcontractors, project management, design, QA/QC, HSE, logistics and multidisciplinary construction teams to manage interfaces, resolve site issues and drive delivery across assigned specialist packages.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate assigned specialist construction packages on site.
• Oversee subcontractors, supervisors and specialist vendors.
• Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Monitor progress against short-term plans and project milestones.
• Identify constraints, delays and interface issues and drive appropriate solutions.
• Coordinate package activities with CSA, mechanical, electrical, logistics and commissioning teams.
• Ensure workfronts, labour, materials and equipment are aligned with planned activities.
• Participate in daily and weekly coordination meetings.
• Support inspections, snagging, punch-list closeout and handover activities.
• Maintain a strong focus on HSE and quality performance.
• Provide regular updates on progress, risks, resources and upcoming activities.
• Support project leadership with planning and resolution of site issues.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree, diploma, trade qualification or technical education in Construction, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong practical construction experience may also be considered.

Experience

• Strong experience in site management, package management or construction supervision on large-scale projects.
• Experience managing subcontractors and specialist packages.
• Good understanding of construction sequencing and multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Experience working in fast-paced construction environments.
• Background from data centres, industrial, infrastructure, energy, pharmaceutical or other complex construction projects is highly desirable.

Skills & Knowledge

• Strong understanding of construction methods and site delivery.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and project programmes.
• Good knowledge of HSE and quality requirements.
• Strong subcontractor coordination and reporting skills.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
