Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a hands-on Shop Manager / Diesel Mechanic to lead a fleet maintenance team and keep diesel trucks, mixers, and heavy equipment running at their best.

In this working manager role, you’ll mentor your crew, perform repairs, and collaborate with operations to minimize downtime while maintaining safety standards. A high school diploma is required; CDL is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience as Diesel Mechanic or Shop Manager.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Proficient with diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Strong leadership and teaching skills.
• Safety-focused and organized in shop operations.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor mechanics and shop staff to high safety and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify problems and plan repairs.
• Oversee scheduling of maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
